Shown, the cover of the program for the “Historical Pageant of Lake George and the Silver Bay Association,” with art by Malcolm Graeme Duncan. The pageant was written by Lamont A. Warner, directed by Marjorie Crane Woodlock, with the Rev. Thornton B. Penfield as the Chairman of the Pageant Committee. It was presented on August 27, 1927, and drew its cast from Camp Algonquin, Camp Ticonderoga, the employees and cottagers of the Silver Bay Association, representatives of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, the Young Men’s Christian Association of Glens Falls, and the citizens of Hague. If you ever come across a J.S. Wooley Silver Bay postcard showing young men dressed as Native Americans, this was the occasion.
